Pre-processing and Vapor Heat Treatment (VHT) Procedure

The preparation process for exporting dragon fruit to South Korea adheres to a strict procedure:

1. Harvesting at the Farm: Standard fruits are cut at farms that possess the required Planting Area Code (PAC) for export to South Korea (Example: Fruit95 Company, code is AB.02.01.06.006 RED DRAGON FRUIT).

2. Packaging at the Facility (PHC): Goods are packed at a facility with a Packing House Code (PHC) for export to South Korea. This process includes pre-processing, sorting, sizing, washing, and complete packaging.

3. Quarantine Inspection at the VHT Treatment Facility: Goods are transported to the irradiation company to undergo Quarantine Inspection. This is a joint inspection step between the Vietnamese Quarantine Agency and the Plant Quarantine Agency (of the importing country).

4. VHT Treatment and Shipment: After the goods meet the quarantine requirements, the VHT process is carried out. Subsequently, the goods are loaded onto the transportation vehicle for shipment to South Korea.

5. Documentation: Completion of the quarantine application, issuance of the Phytosanitary Certificate (Phyto), and other mandatory export documents.
